The College of Charleston’s Visual Arts Club will present Cheap Art Auction and T-Shirt Sale, selling donated student artwork and handmade screen-printed t-shirts. Admission is free and open to the public, and will take place at Redux on Saturday, February 27 from 6-8 p.m.
Work that will be for sale has been made and donated by student artists at the College of Charleston, and will benefit Visual Arts Club programming. The Visual Arts Club is a sanctioned student organization which promotes student artwork both on and off campus, by organizing student exhibits and sponsoring artist lectures. Other items for sale include custom screen-printed t-shirts and craft items. All items at the auction will be on sale for prices that can’t be beat!
Music will be provided by local musician Corey Webb—a recent graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Music Theory Composition. Webb is a recording artist who merges the complexity of classical textures with the sounds of folk music—a style he refers to as “contemporary acoustic folk.” He recently won the “Music with a Message” contest offered by the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League for a song entitled “Coconut.”
