Redux offers year-round art classes and workshops to the public for both kids and adults. Over 100 classes and workshops are available throughout the year covering a variety of topics both traditional and non-traditional. We have a class for everyone whether you are a beginner or more advanced artist looking to broaden and enhance your talents. Our classes are affordable, fun, challenging and taught by talented local qualified instructors. Courses include painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, art history and much more. All courses are timed to fit the schedules of working people and are taught by working professional artists. Through our classes, workshops and studio space, we provide the guidance and resources you need to bring your creativity and passion to life.

In addition to our paid education classes, Redux holds outreach classes for local after-school groups such as the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, YO Art!, and Girl Scouts. These classes are offered year round at no cost to the students.

The Redux Summer Art Camp is an educational program presented in cooperation with Piggly Wiggly for children ready to learn more about the visual arts. Each camp meets from 9am - 12pm and are recommended for kids ages 7 - 12.

Art Around the World

Dates: July 12-16, 9am - 12pm
Male/Female ages: 7-12

Instructor: Natalie Taylor
Cost: $160 members / $200 non members

This summer travel around the world with Redux Kids Camp! Each day we will journey to a new country and explore the sights, sounds, smells and crafts of each new land. Visit Japan, Australia, Zimbabwe, Mexico and Greece without leaving Charleston. Through art, literature, and much more you will fill up your passport with all your fun travel experience! All Aboard! Materials and snacks included.

Printmaking Power Camp

Dates: July 19-23, 9am - 12pm
Male/Female ages: 7-12

Instructor: Conrad Guevara
Cost: $160 members / $200 non members

During this one-week, students will explore a variety of printmaking techniques.  Each day we will learn about a new printmaking process, including screen-printing, mono printing, sophisticated potato stamps, wood block printing and more! Lots of prints, tons of mess and even more excitement! Materials and snacks included.

Kids Painting Camp

Dates: July 26-30, 9am - 12pm
Male/Female ages: 7-12

Instructor: Katie Guthrie
Cost: $160 members / $200 non members

This one-week painting camp offers a chance for students to explore a variety of painting media and techniques such as acrylics, watercolor, impasto and collage. Students will be encouraged to express their creativity and have fun using their imagination in each painting. This class is certain to be stimulating, fun, and produce some one-of-a-kind pieces. Come join us for an exciting walk into the world of alternative painting! Materials and snacks included.
