Redux invites artists with proposals for independent projects to apply for Fully Sponsored Residencies. Up to two awarded artists per year will receive free access to a Redux Studio, and other benefits listed below, for a period of up to six weeks. All proposed projects must be completed by the end of the residency period. At the end of this intensive residency, one piece will be selected for inclusion in the Redux permanent archive. All Residents are required to give one workshop or lecture on the techniques they practice, as well as produce an exhibition within the Redux gallery of the work created during their Residency. Redux presently does not provide housing, but we will assist in anyway possible to find artists affordable housing.
Residencies Include:
• $700 stipend
• 24-hour studio access to 120 sq ft studio.
• private storage space.
• free use of all available tools and equipment.
• free slide documentation and other administrative support.
• free use of darkroom and print studio facilities.
• Exhibition to be scheduled at the end of your residency.

• portfolio of recent works (10 - 20) that can be in slide, cd, dvd, or video format. (both mac and pc formatted discs accepted - please send still images at a minimum of 1000 pixels wide at 72 dpi and in JPEG format)
• Inventory list to accompany portfolio including titles, dates completed, sizes, and mediums.
• Artist Statement including a brief statement on current work or proposed project during your residency in the studio. This should also include your preferred dates for the residency.
• Artistic Resume

Redux will not be responsible for lost or damaged materials.
Redux Contemporary Art Center does not accept unsolicited materials (slides, prints, CDs, DVDs, etc.) from artists. Redux does not set up appointments with artists to review their work at their request. If unsolicited materials are sent to Redux without the artist's prior knowledge of Redux's policy, Redux is not obligated to return materials that have been submitted without a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Under no circumstances may artists send or drop off original works. Redux cannot take responsibility for the safety of original works.
