Redux is a 501-c(3) non-profit arts organization dedicated to education, and the production and presentation of contemporary visual art. Housed within a 6,000 square foot warehouse are two galleries, fifteen private artist studios, printshop, darkroom, woodshop, classroom, and film-screening area. Redux is committed to showing artwork by national and international artists, supporting local artists, and enriching the Charleston community by offering adult and youth education programs. As the only arts organization in Charleston providing these much needed opportunities, Redux maintains an ambitious schedule of exhibition, outreach, and studio programs to accomplish our goals.

REDUX COMMUNITY ART GRANT: 2010

The purpose of this grant is to enrich the Charleston community by supporting a socially-based arts project. This grant will fund projects specifically designed to engage the community through contemporary art. This grant aims to benefit an artist or organization who is involving the community with projects that work to educate, engage and enrich the community's appreciation or participation with art.

Redux Contemporary Art Center will award up to $500 in grant money that must be matched by the applicant on at least a 1:1 basis.

Eligible Projects could include, but are not limited to:

-Social mural projects, open lectures and workshops, temporary exhibitions, publications, public performance, urban interventions, guerrilla architecture, social sculpture, interactive media, and street performance.
